It’s lovely watching them chat. All those tired When Harry Met Sally clichés about men and women never being able to be friends – “because the sex part always gets in the way” – simply fade away… in the pauses they sat tightly together so as to stay on their marks, cheek to cheek, whispering and laughing intimately, but with zero sexual overtone until the camera started clicking again. It was effortlessly cool.

People never really run away from anything. The rain didn’t last long, did it? You know what I think? I think that we’re all in our private traps, clamped in them, and none of us can ever get out. We scratch and we claw, but only at the air, only at each other, and for all of it, we never budge an inch.
